watt:So having read this from Andreas:
"In the interior, we now freshen it up a bit with the 3D Alcantara stripe, which you can have or leave off it's up to you."
https://www.pistonheads.com/news/ph-germancars/andreas-preuninger-on-the-new-gt3/35880
why can't delete the stripes??????????????????????????????????
Watt, I suspect starting with November allocations you will have that option. Personally, I love the stripe. It enhances the look of the interior.

Nacelle1:So, what is missing?
The end of the model line 991.2 will offer, in addition to the usual fare: GT3, GT3RS, GT2RS, GT3 touring, LE Turbo S, maybe Clubsport and? There must be more
Sport Classic? Speedster? Limited Edition GT3 RS (4.2RS, Cup Edition, etc.)?

Jeeps, GT3's will be seen everywhere now, more so than a 911S . Surely all this paying above sticker BS will calm down when they are all available.
Porsche certainly is VW.......

Thanks for the link. Funny to listen to him talk about tire pressures and grip and then he just destroys the tires without regard to what zero tread does to grip. Too funny. My guess is it took him less than five laps to destroy the last set.
I want to see all the cars he wrecked in the out takes when he failed to catch his slide. Such non sense. I used to like it but now it just looks like a waste of tires. I do want one of cars though. The engine is a winner.

I agree with you, his kind of driving is all for shows (people that don't know much about driving love to see), not the way we drive on the real track. I stopped watching his reviews as it got boring.

I can't afford to drive like that. Well, to be honest I can't drive like that.
I've had CH as the best video car guy but as many of us I also starts to be a bit tired of he's videos.
Now I'd say Jethro is my favorite and of course the guys in Roadkill.
A little bit of defence for CH:
There is a small track close to me that have public sessions. The sessions are divided into: Street cars, Non street cars, Motorcycles and Drifters.
When watching these sessions I can say that the drifters definitely are the most fun to watch.
What fun is it to watch a white Porsche doing lap after lap with no drama... Not much.

Best review I've seen so far. Don't mind him being a bit of a hooligan after he has finished the main part of the review, if the actual information in the review of how the car actually feels and handles is of such depth and richness as how only Chris Harris can deliver.
The sound of that car... its all engine and reving like crazy! ...the trend nowadays is fitting a turbo and just remove insulation for the mufflers to make it loud to compensate make its "seem" sporty, its all exhaust muffler sound farting. Such a refreshing sight to still see cars sounding like this.

Going from .1 GT3 to .2Targa which is Turbo'ed was enough for me to realize how much more exciting the NA engine is to drive. The Targa is a great car but it can't match the visceral experience of driving a NA GT3.

It fools you at first and then very quickly you realize it has nothing to do with the engine .....
That's what I like in the RS also . Not the loudest , but all real and visceral

Autobild Sportstars wrote in their comparison between the GT3 and the AMG GTR that "the GT3 was not quicker than the GTR but more capable for track use". This also implies that the GTR was not quicker than the GT3 despite its massive hp output... Interesting... After all the marketing hype AMG arranged the truth comes out...
noone1:If the GT3 is not quicker than the GTR, how does it imply the GTR is not quicker than the GT3? Are you saying they are identical? If they are identical, how is the GT3 more capable?
I don't get it.
Recently, you don't seem to get everything we write here (like "few kms" or the above)
The two cars seem to produce nearly identical lap times, that's what my above words imply. "More capable" means the GT3 is better to drive and more durable on the track, i.e. better
I was offered a June AMG GTR allocation this week but I can't have both, well I could, but I won't. Holding out for the GT3. I should know this week if I get an allocation... Would not be a great scenario having passed on the GTR and then not get a GT3, feeling quite positive that I will get one though....

I like drifting in my 73 911 - tires last long with the low weight and are cheap 15". Much more difficult and expensive in a new Porsche...
