"stealthier!" ? Sorry, not trying to be a dick but you know your Blue Turquoise, Cabriolet, PSE car isn't the slightest bit stealthy, yeah ?

As for the turbo having "too much power", sorry can't agree with you there either.

If a turbo has too much power for you, why did you drive one for 10 years. Or are you saying that as you got older, your desire for HP has diminished.

That was a bit tongue in cheek...

I think what it is is location. I find I can't really use that much power on the roads where I live now. Even for passing cars on Route 1 along the coast the S is more than enough. When traveling along the Amalfi Coast a couple months ago the S would get me by anything very quickly. Of course the turbo would do it probably TWICE as fast!

No, the turbo is a grand auto but just more than I need anymore. I ordered a Cabriolet just to help slow me down,--I figured that with the wind blowing me around I would realize how fast I was going and slow down. (that DAMN windscreen!--too effective).

I'm glad that's cleared up. I didn't think that it was possible to have too much H.P.

Re: 997 turbo cab specs. What do you think?

I think I'm going to change my order slightly. While out driving this weekend I realized I really like the way the leather stitch looks on the door handle's. I'm afraid I've got too much Carbon Fiber w/ the build below, maybe w/ less Carbon Fiber and adding more leather options it may suite my tastes more. This was the original thought:

    997 Turbo Cab = approx $131,800
(?) X1 Artic Silver $0 OR Z4 Basalt Black Metallic
AT Black Full Leather = $0
    M6A Black Mats = $115
    342 Heated Front Seats =$480
POL1 Adaptive Sport Seats Leather Int = $1145
XSC Porsche Crest on headrest = $270
    220 Axle Diff Lock =$950
    450 PCCB's =$8840
    640 Sport Chrono plus = $1840
CDZ Gear Lever Trim Leather =$251
CUV Storage Compt. lid w/ Model Logo = $293
DAA Interior pkg A Pillar Leather = $740
XMP Leather Sun Visors = $560
    XNS Steering Column Leather =$420
XPA Thicker Steering Wheel Leather = $310
(?) CCP PCM Package Alu Look =$2230 - OR - CUR PCM package Leather - $2230
(?) XCG Seat Backs in Alu Look =$1495 - OR- XSB Sport Seat Backs Leather = $1610
    803 Carbon Package - Switch Panel & Gear lever/handbrake - $890
CJJ Belt Outlet B Pillar Carbon -$490
EAD Carbon Package Switch Panel (CF Vents/leather slats/loudspeaker finisher) - $2700
    X69 Carbon Door Sil- $780
XMJ Carbon Rear Center Consule- $1625
XTL Carbon Door finisher - $2700
    ***********************************************************

    So now I'm thinking:

    REMOVE:
    Carbon Door finisher
    Carbon Rear Center Consule

    ADD:
    Leather door finisher
    Leather Center consule

So the trim panel, the vents and the gear lever and e-brake will be carbon fiber but the center consule will be leather instead of cf and the door handles will stay leather adding the leather door finisher. I'm also debating taking off the seat backs in alum look or leather and the pcm consule.

I rather have a single option (sport chrono) turbo cabriolet (approx. $133k)then a loaded X51 997 S cabriolet (approx. $120k)................ Just turbo!

    Ditto
Besides, your resale with the X51 997 would be even worse. Just an estimate, but the turbo's standard fare costs roughly $6-8k in options on the n/a car.

I guess when you hit 120K whats another 13K right?
