I don't remember!
I swear, they must have erased my memory on my way out right before I turned over my badge...

That's a point a view worth considering
I generally try to walk a thin line between giving sufficient pointers (or non-strategic information) and fully disclosing everything (which is, obviously, a huge no-no).
Anyway, as time passes, my first-hand information grows increasingly obsolete, and there are a few cases, such as this one, where I just really don't remember the exact figure.

It's a never-ending game. There's always something better around the corner.
I buy a new computer when I need it, not when a new product is released. If I had waited, I'd still be using a typewriter and a slide rule.

Good point. There's still always something more desirable around the corner, though.
If you're afraid that ordering today might be a bad idea, get a recent certified pre-owned 997 (or a showroom model) now and order a facelifted version in 2 years.
It also has the benefit that you get to use the car today, instead of in 2 years. And you will know which options you really want to order on "your" car, and which you don't need.

I did not say any such thing. I didn't say there would be, either. To make things even muddier, keep in mind MY 2008 begins in September 2007...
I advised waiting 2 years purely on a monetary point of view. Getting a new car every year gets really expensive really fast.

I had an order for a 997 S Cabriolet for March 2007, I have now delayed it, after hearing about the midlife update. The facelifted version will be shown at Paris Motor Show in September 2007 and then go on sale after that, so only 13 months to go and counting
