They did this last year to Mercedes in some type of form.
Mercedes did it to Porsche. A green 997 in their ad. Something along the lines of "Hi! I am a Mercedes. If you kiss me, I'll turn into a prince!"
However, I think Audi's response to BMW was pretty devastating, as they are better performers than the ultimate driving machine.

True, but the second victory means they both become consecutive. 2000 is a victory, 2001 victory means they are consecutive, thus consecutive victories.

Exactly. Seven consecutive victories simply means seven in a row.

Very true...
However, bmw doesn't really race in those things that much anymore. When they did--- (in the 90's and early 2k's) there was no one that could beat them. I'm sure bmw will make another prototype and kick some ass.
We will see though. I wouldn't mind seeing bmw go up against Audi... since there is no other prototype in the world that can match the Audi R car's at this point in time.

They COULD make one before, but I doubt they can now. I'm sure BMW xould use some Le Mans publicity
