After much agonizing I decided to go with the black wheels and guard red wheel stripe. The overall look suits the car better especially with the stripe. Without the stripe and only black wheels the car look like it is floating and doesn't come together.

There was a reason why Porsche decided to show the car in GR with the black wheels and GR stripe. I see it now and agree.

    Awesome!

Now.....please consider the CF interior trim to match seats, there is no more silver on the car Smiley

Looks like the new GT3 RS gets the extra bonnet vents from the GT2 RS and a rather subtle rear W---i-----n---G . . .

This is definitely the curse of having this long to spec the car...think and re-think!  But on the other hand, after some iterations, looks like you got it "right".

Please give me a ride when it comes in!  I'd offer you to drive my GT4 in exchange, but I think that would be more of a nuisance for you than anything. :D

They wanted to show it there when they released the ring time.

One in our group got to ride in it: Unfortunately the track was wet... As you know it can be in May   Smiley

I spoke a lot to the driver, he is a development driver.

Of course i told him everything I don't like about the 991RS/991GT3: The Hazard light button is placed wrong, Bucket seats: If you are short you cannot reach the handle to move the seat when strapped in properly, the passenger seat interferes with the fire extinguisher, the car pulls the handbrake when door is open, and of course the totally idiotic TPMS. Some of these issues he was well aware of some not.

And what was the answer about an upcoming  GT3 RS ?

Scuderia Hanseat is attracting more and more manufacturers . AMG, then Audi Sport and now Porsche with the official fastest GT3 ever  Smiley

I am tossing with the idea of changing my RS for a new GT3 in manual ...... but I also have a preorder on any special RS ( or similar ) model .  The main feature that temps me on the new GT3 is it s engine . I wonder in reality how much different it feels compared to the current RS . Listening to car journalist , they talk about all the difference but sometimes, they over exaggerated those differences as they need to write their show and then in reality the difference is marginal .

I asked Lars (the driver that did the Ring time with the 991.2 GT3) the same question: It has noticeable more torque but also a slightly different character and a raspier sound - if that makes any sense. You really could see how proud he was for the car. (Just to get the context: I was on site when he arrived and had a good chat with this really nice guy for 10 minutes. We where alone all time so no PAG officials or other disturbing elements.)

I will not switch to GT3 but every time I watch a video with it I'm ready to press the order button. I think Porsche has hit a home run with the 991.2GT3.

    OK, guys...here are the rumors:

Touring package is coming...no rear wing, rear seats(!), rear diffusor, some minor optical changes.

Available starting September 2017... (at least in Germany).

Also interesting: 991.2 GT3 will be produced until end of July 2018(!).

In September 2018, the 991.2 GT3 RS is supposed to follow!

There is more: That special edition 991.2 Turbo S model Whoopsy mentioned will be limited to 500 cars, maybe even less. Car gets around 610 hp, a carbon roof and some other goodies! Weight is a bit lower than on current Turbo S.

I have noticed the rapier sound on the videos . Nice .  I will probably not pull the trigger as I would miss my RS and there is anyway always something better that comes, but that engine is very tempting . VERY ! I would also probably take it in manual for a nice change .

Does a potential Touring package have consequences on the cars' setup/weight/etc... Is it a softer proposal or the same car just without spoilers?

Had this a couple of weeks ago but needed a confirmation from a second source today.

Of course rumors are always rumors but the source(s) are pretty credible.

Btw: In Germany, there aren't many chances to get a GT3 anymore, seems that the car is basically sold out (production is supposed to end July 2018).

Also forgot another rumor (important for me): That "960" we mentioned here from time to time doesn't seem to have a green light yet, even if development is progressing. Weird.
