    I think this is the least banglized BMW yet - the one that most resembles it predecessor - I LIKE IT A LOT. I love how the kidney grills are part of the bonnet. Good work BMW!

    This might be my next car - It has everything i wanted in a SUV, 3rd row seats, handling, gadgets, looks and off road capability. This will be the best SUV in the market.

    I would question the off road capibility compared to a Land Rover Discovery or a Toyota Landcruiser, but they would still be descent.

    Not sure which one though.
    Heart likes the big V8, but reason shouts diesel! (Bear in mind I reside in Europe).

    Diesle makes so much more sense (over 500 Nm and less than 9 L/100km ), and the 911 is there for the heart

    LOL, in the first pic, it looks like an X3 (another failed design imo) The best pic is the first side view posted above, there it looks tough. But there is something about the bonnet which is just too low in comparison with the rest of the car... nope, don't really like it.

    Not bad looking... for a SUV that is (they are still trucks and truck ain't pretty no matter how you disguise them), but I think this X5 will be the best looking SUV out there. Good job for BMW.

    When is the Cayenne facelift coming out? sometime next year?

    thanks Kreso. looks good IMO. the strongest X3 now costs more than the basic X5... (both round 51000 euro here in Germany.

    Looks a little bit like a big X3 if you ask me, but far better designed. I rather like it, although I'm not a big fan of the SUVs. But the X5 has always been one of the best looking SUVs.

    And finally BMW managed to integrate the LED-display in the centre console, looks so much better than this ugly bump you have in the 3, 5 and 7 series. Interior now finally looks good again, it took a long time until BMW realized at last!

    Rumors indicate a Cayenne facelift introduced at the Paris motor show this year.

    I don't like it at all, as I think it is absolutely useless and doesn't make things easier at all.

    At least the screen in integrated fairly well this time.

    I have to change my wife's old X5, as we now have 3 children and they do not fit in it!!!
    The new one could be an option, if it is not too big ( smaller then Cayenne), I now have the 4.4 l, but would go for the diesel. A cheaper , but uglier alternative could be the new SUBARU B9 Tribeca...... or a basic Renault Espace.... Hard to know which one to take?

    Nice evolution I think. Looks aggressive and strong.
    I am sure it will drive like a dream.
    I need an SUV to pull my trailer , this is a very tempting offer indeed.
    BTW: I-drive is ok , once you get to know the system , I enjoy using it on my 645CI.

    Offroad? The demographics of X5 buyers did not mention off road. Snow and rain is about all BMW X5 drivers would drive on 99% of the time. As are the Cayenne drivers.
