I love it! Beautiful big coupe!
I'd take that anytime over a Bentley GT.
The car to have will probably be the CL63 Turbo, when that engine comes out. I just wish AMG would start making these cars with AWD.
Doesn't sound like 63TT is in plans (would be too close to 65 capabilities)....am choosing 63 over 65 as I'm favoring 63NA's ?250lb lighter wt, NA throttle response, 7-speed tranny and lack of need to periodically refill oil (as in 65)....though I'll give up 65's higher-grade leather finishes and legendary tq for 60-120MPH accel...
Actually, having flung '07 SL55/65 around twisties, to my amateur skills, prefer lack of AWD.....new-gen ABC, steering ratio, ESP and LSD seem to work very well (vs SL55 v1.0's I've owned in past)....and the published track times of SL55 v2.0 seem respectable vs much lighter, more-focused competitors
Oddly enough, have found SL55/S550 to have greater cross-wind stability @100MPH and wet-weather braking (in hilly urban settings and during cruise on rainy fwys) than 996TTS (?MB's auto brake-drying feature's effect)
I plan to closely compare 997TT vs CL63 in rainy winter driving....let's see if 997TT's new eAWD, PCCB 3.0 and aerodyns are notably improved over 996TTS for inclement weather/cross-winds....
