    Elise hit by Ford Pick Up Truck

    A large Ford F150 pick up truck ran a red light as the Lotus was entering a intersection. There was no time to for the Elise driver to react, and he hit him straight on his front fender and wheel.

    The driver is ok but was banged up pretty bad.

    He was very very very lucky.

    From what you can read online, it seems that a majortiy of Elise owners are under 30. And that helps survivability when it comes to kinetic energy.

    Wow, surprising. Thats one thing that scares me about the Elise, the tiny size and safety-it looks like it isnt so bad.

    That is one thing about the car, you can't expect it to have safetly like a BMW or Mercedes. It is a track toy.
