Break pads wearing very quickly on track
I have a 996 Carrera with Powerkit (X51) and sport suspension (X74) that I use both on the street and for track days. On the racetrack I use Michelin Cup-tyres.
My problem is that I get a very short life out of the brake pads, about 3 track days. Might this have something to do with my braking style? I have tried both the standard brake pads and Porsche's 'sport' brake pads. I didn't get any better life out of the 'sport' brake pads, but they were noisy when driving in town. The problem with other brake pads (Pagid) is that they are even more noisy when cold.
Can I change my braking style to reduce the wear on the brake pads?
Thanks in advance,
fantasma
