    Extended crank(the final installment)or version 2.0 is here

    For those of you who have followed my ongoing saga, it is finally over. Today I received my replacement 987S. Fresh off the boat spec'd just like my first. I know some have had issues with dealers and PCNA, but I really have been well taken care of. Special acknowledgements have to go to both Rector and Carlsen Porsche. Both of who were very helpful at various points. So all that is left now is one more break in period. I think I'll have the record for break in miles in a 12 month period. I'm still very curious as to what was the cause of the problem on my first car, as are all the tech's.
    Thanks to all who have endured my continuing posts on this whole saga.

    I had a similar problem regarding extended crank. I had this problem for almost 3 months until they were able to reproduce them. The extended crank happen only when the car was driven (normal operating temp was reached) and seats for about an hour or two. To make it short, they replace the valve and fuel pump. The reason behind it was that the car fuel pressure is going down (loosing pressure) when the car stops as specified. During cold crank, the car gets a fuel boosts as controlled by the computer but during warm starting the engine's temp is already way up so no fuel boosts was needed. So far the car is running (humming) perfectly. Keep my finger cross. In addition, every time I broguht my car for a service, they have an additional service for those PCNA campaign.

    Mine was a little different. No pattern at all. Cold, hot didn't matter. They replaced all the items you listed and the problem persisted. Good luck with your situation.
    As for the pics, well I'll take some new ones but in the mean time I'll repost the pics from version 1.0. Both cars are identical.
