    So ummm.... How's that iPod integration thing coming along??

    The Canadian distributer of the Dension Gateway 500, "conceptsonwheels.com" tells me that the head technician in Hungary informs him that everything will work ... including audio and IPOD control, but no video will be broadcast on the car's screen, but that the song name and artist name will be displayed on screen. He was told that the prototype works and is now in production (not sure of where, probably Asia?)
    Alvin Yuen at www.conceptsonwheels.com is expecting the units in mid August and taking orders at this time. He claims that Dension is the only company making an IPOD adapter for the MOST system, and is pretty much a monopoly. Cost will be $650. CDN, which is comparable to the CD changer from the dealership.
    Hopefully this system will work as promised, as I am taking delivery of my first Porsche in mid August ... a 997 TT in GT silver with black interior!

    So is Christmas This whole Ipod/MOST interface device is a "unicorn" of sorts that Dension has been dangling for a long, long time.

    But I'm told similar news from Eric (at bumperplugs.com who's going to carry them--that it's coming once they iron out some software issues). That said, I still wouldn't be shocked if we're having this same conversation, once again, a month or more from now.

    Somebody should put a definition of Dension in Wikipedia that says, "over promises and under-delivers".

    Sounds good to me. Now we just have to wait and see. I still want the Porsche Cayenne XM Sat in my 997 though.

    If you believe mp3car, it will include an XM interface.

    Sirius is the way I'd go. Sirius is what I've got now (in the Range Rover) and I find the programming more enjoyable then the XM channels I've listened to in rental cars that have offered it.
