Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

Mr. Losee's Enzo might be the most driven Enzo on earth, as at the time of the article he had just passed 20,000 miles and it's reportedly a daily driver (!).

...isn't an oil change over $1000, because of a special oil that Ferrari requires??

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

Hey, if you've got the bucks then anything is possible.

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

A Ferrari with 20,000 mls in 2 years?! I guess thats why its news.

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

That's what I'm talking about, an owner that isn't worried about miles.

speaking of which, how many miles are your CGT on ha?

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

    Around 16,000 km (10k miles).

Love it! Any problems yet? How often do you have to service it?

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

    Ha,

How has the costs been for you??

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

Ferrari is not bed like Lamborghini, my friend have to change the cluch on his Gallardo F1 and the bill was 7500 eur

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

Its serviced every 10,000 km so I have around 4,000 km to go for service 2. I'm already on my 3rd set of tires and aside from their price, the cost of running the car is very reasonable.

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

3rd set of tires already!?! What do you do to the poor car?

That's why we all love our Porsches So much!!
Plenty Reliable and Never outrageous when you collect them from the work shop!

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

Here in Italy, a well known guy, already putted more then 40000 miles on his CGT!

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

Ferrari can be a daily driver, but with very big running costs

Friend had Ferrari 355 Challenge, then he bought Ferrari 360 Modena F1 with some challenge modifications, and for both he said that he had tehnical problems all time. Its fast and great to drive, but with to many tehnical problems... Then he went back to Porsche Turbo and M3 SMG as daily car

Porsche has always had awesome reliabilty that has continued to make the brand so strong over the years.

Do you think this was in there mission statement in the early days???

Complete service for my 360 Spider is $350.00. In and out the same day. Not a big deal.

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

If you think about running costs when driving cars like these and it bothers you, you can't afford one. Finnancing is less than half of the game...

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

Ronnie- how does the 360 compare to the Vette, is it at all a let down in the performance areas?

    That's right!!!!

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

if you drive a ferrari only 1-2k mi per yr, your costs per mile will be astronomical. you will also have all the problems associated with garage queens. all cars, including ferraris and porsches are made to be run!

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

Not any more. Geez what a shame. Get better soon.

"A Ferrari Enzo owner, that many know in the Ferrari circuit, lost control of his Enzo last week in a Utah LEGAL Road Rally. Mr. Loose has been featured in many Road & Track articles over the years but the most notiable has been from a few years back where they test drove an Enzo that the buyer has just picked up. This happened to be Mr. Loose." - from another board/member. The story from Mr. Loose is as follows:

"Richard was going close to 200mph, and hit a bump in the road that sent him airborne. The car rolled 7 times and was flat as a pancake. Fortunately he was wearing a helmet. He has cracked vertebrae in his neck and back, 4 broken ribs, broken sternum, some broken fingers, and the only surgery he made need is on his thumb. Nothing life threatening. He is refusing pain medication because he thinks he needs to be punished!" - From a Friend of Richard's

    Exactly!
I have said it many time, and Ill gladly repeat it:
When somebody passes 60,000 miles or 100,000 km in their Ferrari, let me know.
I bet you any pre-360/430 will fall apart before they drive that far.
As for the 360/430 almost none of them will ever go that far.
Their owners simply cannot afford it, which is a darn shame when u own such a fine machine.

PS: My 986S just passed 60,000 miles. Apart from regular service and welding of a rattling exhaust shield, the car runs well.

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

    here you go...

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

Well, at least he properly enjoyed his car before he wrecked it. I hope he'll be fine soon.
    -Joost-

Re: Who says Ferrari is not a daily driver

My friend's 308 just passed the 100,000km mark on the odo.
