    Wow buddy your on the ball.... New projector lights look very Carrera GTish and the bumper looks cool too.
    Top pic looks like the rear lights are LED.... Nice

    Cool, I like the new front end. It looks so much more contemporary than the actual. I don't know why but I also have a feeling that this it will be also the car that it will introduce the PDK gearbox. Juts because Porsche always is saying that the PDK it is not coming in the near future.

    "The most important changes you should know about coming on the 2008 Porsche 911...

    1. Satellite radio will be an option (See antenna on rear)

    2. The MOST bus network disappears and is replaced by an updated system.

    3. Bluetooth is finally an option.

    4. Horsepower is upped by close to 20HP.

    5. Trim packages-Look for the cool Cayman-like aluminum exterior option to be available.

    6. Lower front bumpers will be changed and will house the lattice-like grills and foglamps like the Cayman.

    Look for 2007 to be a short model year and the 2008's to be in dealers by late spring/early summer of 2007..."

    True... That looks like a C4/S... Wide plus unpainted panels at sides. Plus its a cabrio... Strange that the first pics we see of the new variant is of a cabrio

    So if this is a facelift, can someone post a picture of the actual 997 2006 v. this about to introduce new version? I can't seem to tell the difference really.

    so the 3.6 gets the equivalent engin than that of the 996 X51?
    and the 997 a X51 standard (almost) ?

    My feeling is that they'll introduce one Carrera only (no more S and non-S) with 3.8 and 370-375 hp. This way they leave the door open for higher HP Cayman the mid-engine line.

    hmmm, so it seem sthat the foglights are now more boxster like (there is white masking tape to make them look like the old 997 foglights. Also, the headlights seem a bit different. The shape is the same, but the layout of the bulbs inside them are different. Also, there are now more horizontal slats in the front intakes. Rear; layout of lights seems different, maybe LED's, but I can't notice any difference in the bumpers.

    Looks like they changed the tailights to make our cars look dated from 100 yards. I expected this and it's here already!

    GD trendy sytlistic BS of our pointy-curved tailights: really pi**es me off..

    LOL, I guess there are a lot of aftermarket boys smelling the money to convert your out-of-date 997 mk1 to a brand new uptodate 997 mk2!
