    pics from my trip to monterey

    here are some pics from my trip back from monterey california..that strech of pacfic coast highway is great.. i took the same trip last year in my04 boxster s and that was also very good...

    Sorry, lost for words there for a minute because of these stunning pictures
    Highway 1 is on my shortlist of roads I would like to drive (along with the Stelvio pass)

    I now have a new wallpaper (pic2)

    Are those Carrera S tailpipes or do you have PSE?

    Beautiful pics. I stopped on that very spot last November - a hire car was the vehicle though as my Boxster couldn't make the few thousand mile trip

    thanks all for the great comments... temm yes those are s tips in chrome , i dont have pse but i put on the muffler bypass pipes from fabspeed and there intake with a k&n filter so its sounds very agressive to say the least..

    Nice pictures. Your car and mine look very similar and I was at Pebble Beach the same weekend via Hyw 1 also. Too bad we didn't see each other.

    Thanks for the pics.
    Highway 1 is so beautiful. For our honeymoon, we rented a Z4 and stayed in Big Sur spending our days cruising up and down the coastline. It is a truly magnificent part of the country.

    Great shots,--but you know, I really prefer route 1 north of SF. Do that route some time,--and along the Oregon coast.

    I am only there once per year for the pebble beach festivities, so that route is one of the most convenient/scenic that I have found. Do you have any other suggestions relative to the monterey area? I would love to hear them

    Carmel Valley Road - between Carmel and interstate 101 - interesting twisties starting 10-15 miles East of Carmel.

    Note on Hwy 1 North of San Francisco: very bad surface conditions between Muir Beach and Stinson Beach.

    I was there today. They covered the holes, but whoever did the work, slapped asphalt on top of mounds of dirt and left it without any smoothing. A total disgrace.

    BTW, for anyone driving Highway 1 in the future, a must stop is at MO's BBQ in Pismo Beach. Wow, it's the best BBQ I've ever had.
