Ipod connectivity - any updates

Has anyone heard any updates on the availability of an Ipod solution for Boxsters at all?

If not, has anyone had any success with installing aftermarket components (perhaps new head unit) with Ipod connectivity?

Not being able to use my Ipod in this car is driving me insane

Dension was supposed to have it done by the end of June. They've taken the dates off their website. I checked some of the German dealer sites, but nobody has it in stock yet. Many have added the item to their databases though, which I think is a good sign.

Price there is 399 Euros, which is about $500 US

The wait continues... Dice Electronics doesn't even list Porsche anymore...

Don't even get me started on this

I broke news earlier this year about a Porsche OEM solution coming out (manufactured by a 3rd party for Porsche) as confirmed by my service manager and an actual engineer who worked on the piece...

All I have heard after checking today is "It's on the way"

This [censored] pisses me off.

I spoke with Dension who has an outside contractor working on it. The word was that there was an issue with the first batch in production so some things have to be redone. Another two months as I recall what she said before it is available.

hmmmm, I wouldn't put my money on it... "soon" "2 months from now" and other schedules is all we keep hearing...
