New 997 C4S Cab Spec

I have just spec'd my new Sept build C4S Cab as follows, my one big question is still on colour. Also has anyone got pictures of the leather sun visors? I always think the black plastic on my C2S looks cheap. Any thoughts welcome.

997 C4S Cab
Tiptronic
Midnight Blue (do I go for blue or black hood?)
Ocean Blue interior
19" Sport design wheels
Coloured wheel crests

Thicker sports steering wheel (finally they had one in the showroom and its a big improvement on the standard)

6 cd autochanger - STILL NO ipod connector

Cruise control
Rain sensing wipers
Leather rear centre consol
Leather door finishers

Other colour combos I am considering are sand beige interior with the midnight blue or atlas grey with black or Bassalt with the 2 tone black/sand.

Given the spec of the car (cab/tip) I doubt a GT3 would be of interest. It's a nice spec! But personally I think that Blue/Blue is going to be a bit too much. Like someone spilled a bicket of paint all over the car. I'd go with Sand for Midnight Blue! And if money is no object (doesn't seem to be given your spec) I would add option EAA (leather pack switch panel) for Sand. If you wanted something sportier I'd also consider PSE, but that may not be for you! My 2 cents

With midnight you must got for the blue roof. You can search for my numerous pics on this site for my midnight cab with blue roof, both up and down. I've seen it with the black roof and it does not look nearly as good. Send me a PM with your email and I will be happy to send some hi res pics.

Nice specs!
Did you omit the wind screen on purpose? Hundreds (as in $$) more to add it later I was told.
Also, if you (or someone you know) can burn MP3 CDs you won't need the changer! Plus, the changer doesn't play MP3s (I'm pretty sure) while the single unit in the dash does.

My advise would be to get every possible option you want and can fit into your budget. If you add things later it will cost you a lot which I am sure you know. Also go for the X51 power kit if you can. I know price will get up there but one can wish can't they

I would also go fo the multifunction wheel. Not sure if you can get that with the thick grip though.

Here's the specs on my car and as I think back over it I believe I did the right thing. I HIGHLY recommend the natural brown leather for a blue car. The richness has to be seen, felt (and smellled!) to be appreciated, perhaps. But it is first rate,--in the top 5% of all leathers for quality. Here's the leather visors,--do not leave out. As stated above, do everything you THINK you might want. later. It's quite pricy to add later. By the options you have chosen I am assuming that you are not a USA buyer. Colour preferences and colour matching are always personal decisions. Thank God every one has different ideas on the subject or else we would live in a very dull world.

For my 2 cents worth, I always thought that the 911 midnight blue is a natural match with Cocoa leather. Bit like a dark blue suit and dark brown shoes. Classical. I think the Blue top would also look great with the above match.

My Boxster is Lapis Blue / Blue roof / Sand Beige interior.
My 997S2 Cab (on order) is Midnight Blue / Blue roof / Sand Beige interior.

Seems like I'm in a rut, but I like the Blue/Blue/Beige.
