Before replacing them tell him to go on highway to do some hard braking. Tell him to go to 90mph (any high speed actually) and brake very firmly (with no one behind) repeat it 3 times 4 times. That might take out the squirks.

My PCCB brakes sometimes make a howling noise, a pretty loud one. It was a phenomenon on older PCCB systems too but compared to them, the noises on the new PCCB have been reduced a lot. I will mention this in our Rennteam Turbo review with some more details.

By the way, my PCCB on my 997tt have not made any noise yet. Stops incredibly. Best braking production car I have ever driven.

The standard TT brakes with Pagid yellow pads and AP racing brake fluid work very well for about three hard laps of the Ring. Then they get HOT and need a rest, but so does the rest of the car (and the driver).

You can take it for granted that he was only referring to the rotors.
The pads use "conventional" friction materials and have to be replaced roughly as frequently as with cast iron rotors.

I was told the same by my dealer. I assume he was referring to rotors too.

I'm sure just the rotors, the pads will wear in a similar fashion to conventional. The interesting thing about carbon brake rotors is their life is measured in cycles, normally related to number of pad replacements, and apparently there is no way to measure the wear as you would on conventional ferrous rotors. So the "no signs of wear" comment is a bit misleading.

In Christophorus 316 Oct/Nov 2005, there was an article about PCCB being used in Supercup.

Not sure, but I've heard about 8-10k.
I have heard that each rotor costs over $5k (part cost only), so that if you needed new pads and rotors on all 4 corners, the total cost would be well over $20k...

Before I believe Porsche on that topic, I'd have to see independant 'proofs'. Remember the 1st gen PCCB? At the beginning, Porsche also was saying they'd last for the entire car's life...
I'm sure the new ones are better, but... 120'000km and no sign of wear? What kind of 120'000km? Autobahn?
