    gt3 order question

    Hi everyone...I've got a couple quick questions. I spoke with my dealer regarding the order guide for a gt3 and he mentioned that the sport chrono option was necessary to get the sport button and the subsequent performance boost. I thought I had read here that wasn't the case for the gt3...can someone give me the straight scoop? Also, I've ordered the car in white and was thinking of having the center console painted white as well. I've had the console painted to match with artic silver and thought it looked great but concerned that white might be too strong a contrast...thoughts?

    As far as the center console also painted white, I think it looks great. I recently saw an 04' 996 GT3 that was white, and had the center console painted white, as well as the seat backs...it was beautiful

    Your dealer is wrong. All GT3 have the sport button with or without Sport Chrono. The option only gives you the dash wart timer. Even the SC option is cheaper on the GT3 than on the 997, since it adds less function. Ask your dealer about that

    Andrew - I'm not getting any new car for awhile, but that's the one I'd get if I was going to buy a new car. Congrats

    As correctly stated below you dont need the Chrono to get sport button. look at the 996 RS pictures. there are a few with the white console. but be careful, it is plastic which scratches easily...
