    Here is a sound track of a Turbo revving.

    Got this off the 6speed site. In a word, the sound is pathetic. Very sad.

    It sounds OK. I always prefered people who actually took action, instead of just throwing their mouth around. I guess I prefer the same attitude with cars .

    I think you'll just have to get used to the idea.

    Any turbocharged engine has the muffling effect of the turbine blades arranged between the exhaust pulses and the outlet pipe. There's no way it can ever sound like an F car with a Tubi.

    In addition, the VTG turbos obstruct the pulse path even more in the low-flow region of the boost curve since they are tuned to grab all the flow available then.

    High tech may not always provide "old school" sound effects

    Although I agree with what you have said, Porsche could have tuned the exhaust for a lower more throaty sound!

    I thought there was a mechanical explanation but assumed otherwise when I heard the GT2 exhaust. However your explanation makes a lot of sense. Can you explain the difference between the Turbo and the GT2?

    I love the turbo bubbling noise.

    i also like the recirculator valves, but the blow off types.

    when you hear that tuuusshhh noise you know its a turbo, and its something fast!

    one of my brothers friends had a fiat uno turbo, 1.3 turbo 105 bhp but with an induction filter and a scoropin exhaust it no longer sounded like a 1.3...

    I don't have a problem with the sound of the exhaust on that video. It sounds like what it is - a 911.

    Yes it sounds like a Turbo Porsche - take it or leave it. Most "purchasers" will be quite happy with it just the way it is. Don't forget, this will be an everyday driver for many. Loud pipes may be nice for weekend drivers, but will quickly wear on you if you intend to use it often.

    For those who just can't stomach the stock sound, I'm sure aftermarket exhausts will be available shortly.

    Yes, it sounds ok to me. However, it would be nice if there was a PSE option.
