    Temm, I like new XKR a lot. My wife is crazy about cabrio version! Somehow I think it will be good, fast GT... Even automatic gearbox is good for this type of car IMO.

    I like the new Jags but not the frontlights, they look to Ford-ish to me.

    It looks like a very nice car, and I'm sure your wife will be very happy in one

    The only "problem" for me with GT cars like these is that even a base 997 Carrera will outperform them.

    I guess it all depends on what you are looking for. But if you're looking for value for money, there's not much that can beat a 997.
    (except the sex-on-wheels Vantage )

    I wish the XKR has been revealed with a Manual gearbox,
    center lock wheels and a row of auxilary Smiths insturments.

    Instead what they present is a go fast option for readers of
    Conde Nast magazine.

    Its nice, but not visceral enough. And the panel gaps are
    just too big for its price.

    I agree with you 100%
    The "new" lights take away that Jaguar "magic"
    Jags no longer look as European as they once did back in the '90s IMO.
    Isn't Jaguar owned by Ford? I'm sure the union between the two companies has a lot to do with the final outcomes we are presented with.
    I might be wrongfully assuming but, does Audi take part in the designs for Ford's new lineups? The Ford Five Hundred for example, looks a lot like an Audi inside and out. I've noticed they've really "cleaned up" their designs.

    agree as well. The lights are the first thing that sorta denotes the type of car and the brand.

    This Jaguar looks like it is a ford car b/c the lights are something that look like they were designed by the guy who makes a Taurus.

    Additionally- maybe it's me, but I don't like the tail lights either. I am completely missing the design cues and why there is a circle there. Is this car supposed to be super sporty or somemthing. --Bmw tried that same crap with the Z4 and it looks ridiculous.
