There's no loss of pressure when changing gears with the Tip gearbox since it preboosts between gearchanges.
This is not possible with the manual gearbox, hence the slower acceleration times.
This statement of yours makes no sense. When any turbo car under load undergoes a gear change, the recirculating valve (blow-off valve) dumps the pressurized intake charge back upstream of the turbo compressor to help build spool back up. It has nothing to do with the type of transmission.
The tip/autos on a turbo car have the advantage of a torque converter which will basically store energy the way a flywheel does during shift changes, and allow enough slip/stall to get the motor into the torque band more rapidly.
