Have you driven the 997tt? If not then you don't have a clue what your talking about. The 997tt (with street tires) outperforms the F430 (with corsas) thats all you need to know.

The F430 beats any Porsche by far in certain emotional categories. The Porsche is very efficient and also a bit faster. However, there is no substitue for the sound, design and feel of a Ferrari
Two different cars - complementary cars if you ask me. Not true rivals.

it seems that Ferrari "send" two F430 to the circuit of the test of Quattroruote one week before to make the right adjustments for the track and to let the driver(journalist) know the car,in fact he take down 5 second on that circuit from first laps to last(the ones of the test),and take down 5 seconds on that circuit,is like to take down two minutes at the Ring..
instead no adjustments and no "worm up" for the other cars..
it seems that Ferrari "send" two F430 to the circuit of the test of Quattroruote one week before to make the right adjustments for the track and to let the driver(journalist) know the car,in fact he take down 5 second on that circuit from first laps to last(the ones of the test),and take down 5 seconds on that circuit,is like to take down two minutes at the Ring..

Just curious, but did they send two cars to the test
a) to increase the chance of one of them still being in running order at the end of the test, or
b) for the journo to be able to keep one of them at the end of the test, for him to really "know the car"?
Sounds like they really gave the journalist a warm-up.

This Quattroroute test driver is massively talented
Maybe Porsche did not explain to him how to use a manual transmission

Nothing wrong with testing the car for the track, but shipping the car so that the driver could get accustomed to it is dirty. As is to be expected from a factory with such devious sales policy in the US
.

Porsche sells cars with the "adjustments" meant for the Nurburgring.I don't think Ferrari will sell the F430 with the "Vairano tune".

BTW I bought Automobilismo magazine last night when boarding the ferry back from Sardinia and the test they perform on the 997 TT revealed astonishing figures for 0-100 kmh and 0-1000m. Wonder whether 4route had filled tank with Diesel i/o 99 octanes gasoline.
