    PSE how do I know?

    I have a 05' 911 S with the chrono package. Does this package include the PSE or is that an option. If its an option, how do I know if I have it on my car? I bought my car used with no window sticker so I have no idea of what options the car has.. is there a way to get a reprint using the VIN? The dealer was of no help..its Porsche of North Scottsdale.. By the way I wouldnt suggest buying a car from them. I am the one that had the over-revs on the vehicle that was a pre-existing condition and they tried to blame it on me. After a small fight, I pushed them to re-certify the car as a Porsche used certified vehicle..They are dishonest and when I get the chance, I will write a nice letter to Porsche North America.     It's an option. You see it when you look at the pipes. There are many pics on the forum where you can see the difference. If the pipes are in chrom and the outer side is larger the the one at the inner side, then you have pse.

    What do you know...Porsche North Scottsdale lied to me!!! They told me my car had PSE..When I asked them about the tailpipes because I asked the dealer why the tailpipes looked standard, they explained "there are many different types of tailpipes available" Unfortunately I found this forum after I bought the car.....

    Definitly complain, here is what the PSE from Porsche looks like. I added it afterward and Love the extra volumes that eminate from the motor (mine is open all the time). It will set you back $2.5K installed so let them have it!

    Not only are the pipes different (as noted above), but if you have PSE and turn on the sport chrono, you will definitely know you have it! (unless you're deaf).

    It IS possible (but unlikely) that the previous owner replaced the tail pipes. PSE on a 997 will have two exhaust pipes exiting from each muffler resulting in the need for true dual exhaust tips per side. Also, PSE will have the vacuum actuators on each muffler, which looks kind of like a silver "apple on a stick." I have a couple of pics on my PC that I could share but I don't know how to attach files on this forum. Sorry!
