    Yes. Just turn the knob to the desired setting. Most people use the 3 or 4 settings for road use. Some psychos even use 2 .

    Al, as Crash said...it takes all of 5 minutes to adjust all 4. I run 4/3 (front/rear).

    i still prefer the 996's look over the 997's, and even more so regarding the turbo.

    Yes, Dock,

    The X73 looks like a good option. That or the PSS9. Probably next winter-can't put the car in the shop for one day-that means one day not driving it out on the road. Do you find that the X73 is also more firm and sporty than stock?

    The ride is much more firm than stock, but the handling improvements are well worth the stiffer ride. The car is much more responsive, has less understeer, and is exceptionally planted at speed. The grip it generates in the turns is eye watering.

    The stiffer motor mounts that come with the X73 package also help. They seem to have tightened up the "delay" between throttle application and actual acceleration.

    Cool.

    I have no problem with a stiffer ride. I am still in good physical shape and have staved off symptoms from spine disease inspite of some major sports-related trauma from my youth (hockey, baseball, skiing). The stock suspension is definitely not too stiff for my tastes.

    X73 is not the best option for the Cab. Row is the best compromise in my opinion. X73 option was not available for the Cab from Porsche AG for the fact that the chassis is a bit soft for this set up.

    There are plenty of Turbo Cabs with aftermarket suspensions - suspensions that are as stiff (or stiffer) than Porsche's X73.

    I've never heard of any problems from Cab owners with stiffer/lower suspensions - X73 should be no different.

    That was just Porsche's way of removing itself from any liability - as always. Note that I stated "stiffness?" in my first reply.

    I rode in a RUF that had their version of the PSS9 and it rode softer and better than the stocker. I don't know if the X73 was available for cabs, might not be so you're better off going for something different.

    I am delighted with the performance of the H&R coilovers and anti-sway bars. The suspension is easily adjustable to any ride height and delivers faster lap times than the power increase.

    I drive long distances and the comfort is reasonable. On the track and back roads the suspension is outstanding. 10/10 for owner satisfaction.

    Hi Al,
    First of all your car looks great, congrats! Regarding the suspension I had the same dillema as you and I ended up trying both PSS9 and X73. A few observations:
    PSS9 suspension needs to be adjusted to a quite low ride (similar to GT2) for the suspension to work properly on both good and average roads. This is very important since if you go higher than that then springs become way too stiff and also you'll lose traction with 850NM of torque. I tried many different settings (coupe 996TT 540hp, 850NM) and always had way too much wheelspin under WOT unless I went really low in ride height.
    Finally I got fed up with trying to get best compromise at a reasonable ride height for street use and I switched to X73.
    The initial observatiion with X73 was that most parameters (ride height, stiffness, bump, rebound) were just about perfect - Porsche has wisely found a near perfect compromise with X73. The only caveat was that there still was a bit of roll and the balance of the car went from understeer to very neutral.
    I then tried to correct this and bring balance to my exact taste (no roll and mild understeer) using the adjustable GT3 sway bars. This worked really great since after trying a few settings I managed to find the absolute perfect balance imo between under\oversteer and roll. Thus I strongly recommend that you use X73 with GT3 swaybars. Also don't forget that X73 comes with the stiffer engine mounts which are also a great improvement. (Unless you already have these)

    I'm pretty busy this summer with family, house and work obligations, but this fall I plan to get back to my car obsessions, and, indeed, I'm leaning towards the X73-the car is a cab, so it's not for the track-that's what the Noble is for. Your advice makes sense.
