Re: OFFICIAL: New 991.2 GT3
Going back a few posts on this thread there was a comment that the manual in the eyes of some (not the poster) could make one feel more manly... I have never seen that or heard that but I don't reside in a large city where that could possibly be happening. Wow, if that makes someone more manly than another...yikes!
The thread also mentioned that some Americans have their car spoilers raised, when it can be done, for no apparent reason, other than thinking that it looks cool. I have seen that very infrequently but I certainly would not say it is common practice. Again, maybe more common in larger cities. At least in the GT3 then in the eyes of those that raise their car spoilers to look cool, we always look cool....
In NA I think that jealousy plays a role in how some people view those that own high performance sports cars. It is North America after all...The perception that everyone is a jerk that owns a "fancy car" is hard to shake because of the few idiots, regardless of the brand, who are very visible by their driving actions. The cars are very visible and someone acting act in a stupid fashion will generate that unwanted attention by jealous types or by those in the "serve and protect", career. By being in a highly visible car it is all that much more important to be less visible when driving it on regular roadways.... save it for the track! I know that I state the obvious but it rings true on a daily basis....
