I am with you - I am also still an F1 enthusiast - let's see what the first race will look like. As far as I have seen this morning, tires seem to be something "different" to calculate with. "Ultras" seem to last as long as "Super", so the question seems to be which of these "behave" better taking into account a single stop strategy...SPRING is coming ! 
Not bad the qualifying....gonna be fun....ham vet bot, ham o,3 sec faster....i guess that is the advantage of merc and ham toghetr...lets see the race tomorrow can be really fun...
the other 1,2 sec behind....so looks like a match between 2... Hope red bull will recover..so we will have 3...
mclaren is really bad...poor alonso...he deserves a car not a gp2

Mercedes fast, but Ferrari finally back it seems. McLaren's battle will be coming across the finish without been lapped 3x times by the leaders....

Finally merc under pressure....but ham was slowed by ves..otherways ham had the win i guess.
but it is tough now ...no more sleeping for ham and merc....still few overtakes, but at least real fights, and super rookie gio...
looks more fun than last year...lets hope so

You can't have one when drivers like Ricciardo, Alonso or Vestappen don't have a fighting chance at it, at best you will have the best out of four drivers championship, if not just two like last year again, who neither would most probably win it if the others had a chance to fight on equal terms.

The quality of a driver to get into the right car is part of his talent as a F1 driver... I.e. if these other drivers don't have the right car it is their own fault 
If they were better, smarter etc. they would be in the right car

That's just an excuse, that has nothing to do with talent, is 50% luck, 40% timming of the right seat begging available, and 10% making an informed decision. No one knows what team is going to be faster down the, and when you can see it, most likely there won't be a seat open, by the time there is, you are back to guessing again which will be faster now. Sorry but that is a really lame argument that had nothing to do with who is the best driver on the track.

well, we didn't have many seasons with 3 or 4 competitive teams. Rather we had many seasons with just one team at the top. So to have 2 top teams fighting driver and manufacturer championships is not bad...
..and a great pilot will help develop its team, right ?

For what it's worth-Ferarri is back ! At least there is some competition now for merc....last season merc was in a position to win every race from wherever they had to start or whatever happened. VET kept distance for a long distance, something we would not have seen last year. And, well, Italy will be "forza Ferrari " all over today ! That's cool!

A way two championship race is pretty exciting indeed, but the season is long and there could be development changes etc... I was expecting McLaren much better, I can't believe how far off the pace they are... they could go to their museum and unretire an older F1 car and be faster

I fully agree and that's why Michael Schumacher is the most successful driver of all time, and partly why Fernando Alonso hasn't won a championship for over a decade.
