    Far from passionless

    "Add the Tip with its inclination for lower revs and higher gears and the new Turbo slips over the edge into the abyss of passionless superiority." Please note that 'passionless' refers to the Tip.

    if a sports exhaust and lower suspension could be added to a manual/LSD 997 Turbo, it would be far from passionless. Will Porsche fix these limitations or will it be left to tuners - who may mess up the networking?

    I'm sure PSE and X73 will be available very soon. Porsche won't allow the opportunity to make even more $ from accessories slip through its hands .

    12 days long wait ,the guys on the board are going to kill you..
    the luckiest who ordered their tt soon have been waiting for six months and still have a couple of month to go..

    I very much doubt that it is a mistake. The Gallardo is a spectacular looking car and will provide you with everything the TT does not have. GOOD CHOICE!

    The 2006 are actually the same cars RC, only the exterior is a bit different (like BD 997 said, black roof, mirror etc). The engine is the same as the SE and/or spyder.

    Actually the MY06 is even better than the SE, because you get all the goodies from the SE including the more powerful engine
    (but without the black roof that he doesn't like anyway ), but for a far better price.

    You should show up at a NE fchat meet if there is one scheduled anytime soon. There was yellow G a month or so back at the meet in Ct. Has a nice sound.

    Clearly a thread with contributors who have no inkling of what a 911 is... and only considered it for its social/poseur value (or lack thereof in their new opinion), having moved now to other pastures... Good ridance!

    06 - Gallardo rocks...drove one a couple of weeks back and the launch control mode was un-believable!! and the sound from the new exhaust was beyond belief...I am getting one by the end of this year.

    Oops, seems I did it again. Didn't know that the Gallardo SE was just a limited edition limited to the number of built cars and not to a certain MY. Sorry.
    I thought the power upgrade comes with MY 2007 since the reviewed Gallardos in car magazines were all "SE" models.

    who asked you? Not that I should waste my time with people like you who go around and make assumtions about people you dont even know ... Im a porsche guy but am waiting for PDK to come out... until then maybe I'll beat around in an 06 Gallardo... is that ok?
    Oh and by the way... who says "good ridance" still?

    Don't know about ADias, but my "scolding" you for cancelling your 997TT order was, of course, just in jest. I too look forward to an automated manual tranny from Porsche, hopefully engineered for the 911Turbo. What I would like to see is a tranny that is electronically controlled in which the driver can select, sort of like the digital buttons on a cell phone, gears one through six...or maybe seven or eight ( ), in manual mode, so that he can downshift to the gear he wants, like from six to three, even though a computer in automatic mode might select gear four, with the buttons on the steering column or on a center console lever, with an automatic mode, as well. While the 997TT's electronically controlled suspension is apparently also a major technical advance, I still see work on tranny technology as a major focus of development for sports cars, and I'm sure Achleitner et al have some ingenuity in this area.
