According to AMS the GT2 will be introduced this fall together with the GT3 RS.
2seater, RWD and 530 HP as well as a sporty suspension setup!

Just wanted to post the same - apparently you started to read AMS a little bit earlier than me
Actually, the GT2 in fall is very, very good news. Now they just have to use the GT2 to launch PDK

The GT2 is going to be FAST! MKSGR, are you going to go for it?

...beyond fast....
I suspect faster than a Ruf 550 GT2. And faster than a Murcielago LP640.

And I suspect that this car might, no I actually think this car will match or even break the Carrera GT's N-Ring laptime...
The expected times for the 997 GT3 is already low 7"40's.
The 996 GT2 was just about 10 sec faster than the 996 GT3 so using that to make a very rough estimation, the new GT2 will go in maybe low 7:30, maybe even faster if Porsche actually makes this car worthy of its price
Just imagine

I can imagine Mike Valentine at 6'6 pounding on Wiedeking's office door, while he's frantically calling die Polizei, den Feuerwehr, den KSK und den Notarzt . Many CGT owners will be pissed, especially when they're overtaken by one on the Autobahn like they were standing still (I predict 26-28 seconds 0-300 km/h).

Thats hilarious...do you mean too tell me that you guys.. owners of the CGT are going to be pissed if a lowly 911 driven by granny clampit (albeit driving a "Tip") kicks butt I mean really how much more is a Carrera GT...don't get so upset.

I don't own a CGT, but if I did... I know straightline isn't everything, but since the roads here in Europe allow it, it's also a factor.
