    Cargraphic front lip

    Hi guys,
    Do you think the front lip should be in matte black or match the body colour? What do you think?

    I say match the body color, but it looks good the way it is now....

    Leave it matte, then you don't have to paint it every time it gets scratched.

    Meh, I'm on the fence about it. I could do with or without it; doesn't do anything for me asthetically. Also means I'd have to exit steep driveways at even more of an angle then I do already. However if it offers a handling benefit aerodynamically on the track, I'd consider it.

    matte, as 964c2 said paint will get sratch and chiped every time you go over a speed bump. It being plastic will make it very easy to chip threw out even if damaged in minor area.

    It looks good as it is. There are more than enough speed ramps in HK that will scratch it thus I would not have it painted.

    I believe I have seen your car before - doesn't it have some fancy after market rims?

    May I ask where the photo was taken? Where can one get the Cargraphic front lip in HK?

    depends on the side skirts. if these are painted then paint the lip as well.

    Looks appropriate matt black as it is now. Because it's close enough to body color not to attract attention to itself.

    Now here's a question: do you consider it a tough functional part of the car or an accent trim which should do it's part to add to the overall aesthetics? If the former, again, it fits just right with the color of the car. If for strictly aesthetics, you might paint it to exactly match.

    Another point: since it appears to match the black plastic insert of the center aperture of the bumper/spolier (in non-Tip cars), WTF? Just more reason to leave it like it is.

    I will probably leave it matte black since you are in HK. Nice looking car by the way.

    It's make the 997 look like a 996. I would not paint it. Leave it flat black. That way when it scratches, you can sand it and spray paint it yourself. Is it rigid or flexible so it would not break? How much lower will the car get?

    No way you're going to paint it. it looks so good in mattblack, look at the GT3.
    even if your car was bright color, i think lip always looks good in black

    Nice to take to you. Actually, I have installed a Sportec rims, I could show you a pic later. Beside, I got the lips yesterday in "Gembella" Hong kong in Kung Tong and the pic was took in the Peak

    Yes, I thought the photo was taken at the Peak - you will spot my Seal Grey C4S there from next month!

    The Cargraphic front lip looks really good, may get one for my car when it arrives.

    I have the OEM aerokit and my lip is getting scraped all of the time. I am replacing it with a stock black one.

    Nice car. I want to get a cargraphic front lip too. However, with my car body lowered by eibach springs I wonder will it scrape more often?
