Re: Any good installers of clear bras in NJ?
You're welcome! That's good news. Yeah those guys are always extra busy especially this time of year but you'll be very happy. The quality of the install is EVERYTHING with the film and they don't use pre-cut kits this enables them to fold edges around body panels where able or into lamp openings instead of seeing the films edges lying on top of the panels.
I'm not sure what you mean by the "higher hood" option but if you mean a larger piece of film to go higher on the hood I'd consider it although they didn't have that available when they did my 997 & my Stradale or the other cars they've done for me. Although the majority of rock chips/dings on the hood will be towards the lower 1/4 around the Porsche crest having the film higher up is a good idea. Also Depends on the color of your car, black or dark blue shows the film more than silver. The line on the hood annoys some people. It doesn't bother me at all. IMO - I would much rather see a line from the film on my hood then have to look at stone damage. On my CS & my 997 both cars have the entire front done including lamps. Fender wings, hood, bumper, mirrors, etc. Both have 3M behind each wheel (even more important than the hood imo) and also the rockers (definately do the rockers, protects against stone chips but also protects against passengers shoes) My CS also has the bottom 1/4 of the doors done but the CS has a crease in the door that makes it very hard to detect and the body of the CS curves inward. On a 997 you don't need the doors done. To answer your question those are the parts I would cover, not sure if there's any other pieces to get done that makes sense.
