I'm not a fan at all of silver colors (find them so dull and downgrades the car), and not a fan of matte finishes in cars (especially viagra black matte) but I gotta say that if this combo (silver + matte film) looks in real life like in the pictures it looks surprisingly good and original!

Yeah, I'm interested to see it in person (those who have say it looks great). I'm tempted to try it...

Got this from RL:
Ok, so this just in.
Confirmation from my dealer this morning that the GT3 Touring is a thing. It is an option on the GT3, so you need a GT3 allocation to option it.
Details I have so far:
- Deletion of rear wing
- Runs with same rear spoiler as a Carrera S
- Revised boot lid Grill
- Leather seats instead of Alcantara
- Textured centre of the seats
- Painted alloy wheels in Aluminium Satin Gloss
Comes with Manual transmission only.
No Cost option.
No mention of rear seats so that pretty much rules them out I would suggest.

m4ever:Re Touring option: I wonder whether Porsche, for marketing reasons, will de-tune the engine in order not to match the 500 Hp of the 911 R ?
For Porsche it's easier to detune the values of the R than the engine on the Touring Pack.

I think it is safe to say that they would sell like hot cakes. I wonder if Porsche will increase production to capitalise on it..? Makes no sense to me to me to have limited production capacity for these things unless their exclusivity is part of a wider marketing approach. But at this point it feels like Porsche is only in the business to make and sell as many cars as possible.

Carlos from Spain:They had me believing the details until I read the part about "no cost option" from Porsche
That does seem unlikely given recent moves like raising the price of PTS to nearly $13k (was $5k for 991.1 GT3).

SciFrog:Sorry but MT only is moronic for a car less racy. It's like Porsche is doing it on purpose to limit the sales number and preserve the high margin regular 911.
It makes sense if you follow their rationale that it's a fun car only (and Manual is more fun), just as the RS is meant to be the fastest version on the track (PDK-S only). Thankfully they have made the GT3 to be both fun and fast (with choice of box)
