    Slate grey with cocoa interior: what do you think?

    Guys, I took a ride in Fanch's slate grey 997S yesterday. That colour is absolutely gorgeous!

    He has black leather interior which matches really well. I would like to go for cocoa interior no matter which exterior colour I choose. Although black is lovely - I really want cocoa.

    I will post some photos of slate grey and cocoa later if that helps people.

    So, what do you all think? Does cocoa go well with slate grey?

    I agree, cocoa goes very well with slate - I've ordered that combo myself, and am due to pick up the car on 15 May. Must say I can't wait to see it!!

    Easy, Slate Grey is awsome color but, IMO it will not blend that good with cocoa leather...
    I saw Slate Grey 997 cabrio few days ago with cocoa top and full cocoa leather and it did not look right to me. My wife said this lady(yes, young lady was driving that 997!) needs to be arested by fashion police(ok, this was too much from her!). That 997 was also with full alu trim inside.
    Slate Grey will look excellent with Black, Natural leather Grey or Bi-color Black/Terrakotta leather, IMO.
    On the other hand GT-Silver looks absolutely amazing with cocoa leahter, again IMO.

    Slate and cocoa are both warm and subdued colors. They will go well together. Sad thing is you really have to see cocoa in person (photos don't do it justice) and that might be hard to do. So you decide to order the combo and it's a good bet you'll be blown away (in a good way) when the car arrives.

    I'm afraid Cocoa and Slate don't mix. The best color with cocoa is GT Silver. The best color with Slate is Terracotta. The reason for this is that those colors create a striking contrast, but at the same time share common tones.

    (this said black and natural grey also work in both cases, as they are pretty neutral)

    Tastes and colors are obviously a very personal issue, but I would not go for Slate with a Cocoa interior.

    I reckon slate and cocoa go well together. I ordered it myself but backed out because of the combined cost of the two together. I went instead for just the slate with black leather. If you're not bothered about the cost (and the fact that you won't get back the cost come resale) then go for it.

    I ordered 997TT with slate grey and stone. Only other option would be black int. Too hot in summer. As I have said earlier, Porsche needs to offer a true complimentry color such as burgandy, merlot or even an appropriate red.

    Slate and Ferrari's Bordeaux Red would be amazing.

    As for Cocoa, I'm a big fan of it in general, and Slate goes well with it. Though the best colour with cocoa is Dark Olive Metallic I saw one and it was stunning.

    That Dark Olive Metallic is something else. The one I saw had black interior, but w/ cocoa would be a rich looking combo. I also like GT silver/Cocoa combo as well.

    I hadn't thought about Dark Olive Metallic and Cocoa, but yes, it should work. The green tones in the Cocoa are indeed pretty close to the Dark Olive paint.

    Über-porker: I think Terracotta shouldn't be too hot in the summer, and it looks much better with Slate than Stone Grey! Ask 69bossnine about it, he lives in Southern Florida and hasn't complained so far (quite the opposite, actually).

    Yes Groom, Terracotta would not be hot but it is basically orange (flower pot or tile like). It simply does not really go with slate. I would have preffered another color to stone but it was the best choice for me from the available options. The slate, stone & PCCB car will present a tasteful image.

    Guys, IMO dark olive green and cocoa somewhat works but isn't that attractive...

    Maybe I just can't stand dark olive green...

    Anyway, here's a few of slate with terracotta...I'm not a fan of terracotta. Like an orangey red...not a rich, sophisticated colour IMHO...

    The above photo of slate is simply awesome...one of the best slate photos I've ever seen.

    Some photos of cocoa coming up...I'll only post ones that I think are truly realistic....cocoa is very difficult to capture realistically in photos...
