and PDK, haha
Manual would be fine for me as a DD . I got bored of PDK in day to day driving conditions .

DocMo:No brainer ....The Silver with black / dark grey wheels looks 1000X better than the white one with stripes....the whole purpose of the R is being discreet and elegant!
To each his own, but the R is supposed to be the opposite of what you say, why do you think Porche introduced it with stripes? Because it is not meant to be a daily driver with high miles, it is supposed to go rot in some obscure collection, stripes included...
This confirms my choice of Silver - like it much more than white. I would get the stripes in a box and decide later about applying them...

Then why are the stripes optional (no cost)? If it was supposed to come with stripes, wouldn't that be the default configuration (with a delete-stripe option)? It is definitely meant to be stealthy (only subtle colors standard), but one has the option to dress it up if desired.

And the best motor in there too

It is an amazingly good looking car.
I still don't get the stripes and side decals, though, and why anyone would want them when they don't want a wing, not to mention they trash up the whole look, like a beautiful woman made up like a cheap whore.

It's not that complicated. This model is meant to celebrate the 1967 911R which had stripes (on some of the 23 cars) and no wing. Some of the original 911R's were very simple and modest looking and some were pretty flamboyant. All were exceptionally good to drive. Same with this 50th Ann. version...

Lukas:First one out in the wild? Same spec as Geneva but with red Porsche inscription on the sides. Looks a bitt "dull" , but maybe that is just the picture quality... I would order GT-silver with the Green theme and satin platinum wheels
looks perfect ! ......the optional colored stripes should be ordered with the available matching colored , not black , " PORSCHE " lower side lettering decal option , not the black lettering one as installed on the red- striped premier 911R shown at Geneva .....which looked wrong as the cover was first pulled away and which was a to me a MAJOR graphical faux pas ...even more so when we discovered later the same day on the configurator that matching - color lettering is available !
