I have mixed emotions letting it go and I guess in some respects I already miss it. But I cannot think with my heart. The car is ill suited for regular roadways. As a result, It was a garage queen.
The buyer was in his mid 30's and it was his first Porsche. The excitement on his face when the keys were handed to him made me envious because I know the feeling.
The Lexus LFA is a car I believe Futch (Franchoise) has indicated as one of his favorite cars. Given the fleet that he owns that is high praise. But my problem is paying over MSRP $396,000 plus CA Tax and fees the car will be close to $450,000, $100,000 over MSRP and it is almost 5 years old. Granted only 500 were produced but here again I am faced with a high performance car not suitable for US highways and roads. Also, it lacks at least for me the "got to have" factor because I am not a fan of Japanese styling.
The car that checks all boxes for me is the Huracan. Wonderful styling, excellent performance, an exhaust to die for, exclusivity, has gravitas, high quality and priced right $200,000. The only downside is the issue of depreciation.
Decisions Decisions Decisions. A nice problem to have. I plan to take my time on this one.
