I wanted that 991 R so badly and now I only regret not getting it because I am thinking about that "investment" opportunity and what other nice cars I could have been able to afford after selling that 991 R.

I guess we all told you that this was a huge mistake. Also - once on the list of a limited edition, you have the chance to be right back with the next one. Each car you can enjoy for some months and then pass it on with benefit. The next in the loop is the GT2RS - you better go back to that dealer and make sure ordering one of those.

I told you before, I'm not in the business of selling cars and I do not want to call in favors just to take advantage of someone. Smiley Yes, I am pretty sure I will regret not getting the GT2 RS either but this is life. If I had the money easily lying in my pocket (or at the bank), it would be a no brainer but I need to pay for the car, I need to keep it a while (and I certainly would want to drive it Smiley) and then I'd need to sell it (which should be easy but... Smiley). I'm a pussy, I know. Smiley

If that's true, you'd better stay away from Donald.  Smiley

Understanding your reasoning, but all I'm saying is if the deal so easy on the table then better make money with cars instead at the stock exchange. At least you can watch it, sit in and enjoy it a bit Smiley

My friend - I agree to disagree. I think there is nothing more expensive than love but in the same time love is priceless! Smiley

No need to speculate, it is a confirmed PTS Light Ivory car.  There is another PTS Light Ivory for the US market as well. This particular car belongs to Robert Ingram, who had matched the paint scheme of his R to his original 911R.  Very cool!

    Re: OFFICIAL: 911 R (2016)

Light Ivory is the best shade of white for any Porsche. It has less blue, a warmer tone and looks richer than the other whites.

I love the 911R (both old and new), but making them in the identical trim highlights how the new one has grown far too big and heavy (around 70% heavier)

A Porsche technician I know who works in a UK OPC was allocated a 911R (white, red stripes and black side decals) for his loyal service of 15 years and continuing .. very heart warming. Some OPCs have a heart! That OPC only had 2 911R allocations

perhaps, he is the guy looking after all the 964 and 993 ... in my OPC, they have an one old fart like myself, if this guy leaves a lot of the required mechanical know how will be lost...

Still, seems to be a nice appreciation for his service Smiley and, ..., well, he also seems to have had the financial means available... Smiley
