Last day at the beach...
The first part of our vacation is drawing to a close... Today was our final day at the beach and from now on we will be celebrating in Sydney to end it all with a bang— my darling's birthday on February 25th!
By the way, the pink towel you see in the photo was the gift I picked up for her in downtown Sydney right after our arrival in Australia. I was so glad the store held the towel for me because it was the last one available. Also, since we did the beach part of our vacation first, I obviously couldn't withhold it from her ;-)
She loves it so much...
My wife would have asked where the matching color handbag is but...

Thank you Gnil. QANTAS will take us back on Tuesday, March 1st. We are currently waiting at Circular Quay for our ferry that will bring us over to Taronga Zoo.
I'm still trying to figure out why I like Sydney so much...I never have this feeling in other large cities. I love driving through the suburbs here. Admittedly, it would be tough at times for the GT3 ;)

Taken this morning...
...by my daughter! It's incredible how a simple water puddle can help make an iconic subject stand out even more. We got up before sunrise to take some photos and we had a lot of fun (except for the getting up part )
SciFrog, Sydney from my perspective is very kids friendly too. No lack of strollers around here! :)

Gnil:So you partied all night until sunrise and the walk through the gardens and then straight for breakfast. Are you still in your 20's ? If I do that I need 4 days to get over it !!!
I have no problems staying the whole night partying and moving on into the next day (my job requirement , minus that party thing ) but my wife usually goes to bed at 10 or latest 11 pm, she would need at least a week to recover. I am 50, she is 48.

To Mrs. Pilot...
I would have posted sooner, but I had to get some sleep.
My sweetie is standing on the floating dock by the Man o' War Steps near the Opera House; the rocking we felt standing on it may have been amplified a little by the few drinks we had earlier... Sometimes I can still feel the swaying a bit even when I'm back on solid ground

An interesting observation— this is my third stay in Sydney and I noticed that black Maseratis and black Audis mean business in this city. Don't see as many 911s anymore :( The Golf 7/GTI/.:R is hip around here too.
Anyway, we are strolling through the city as I type this and I see many happy people around here :)

The Sydney girl I hung out with...
... is a lot of fun and we had another spectacular night. Sydney sizzles, particularly at night, and the summer time temperatures make it even more perfect. We ended again with a walk at sunrise through the Royal Botanic Garden where we made a new friend...

Bondi Beach...
... seems to always have nice waves rolling in, which makes it the perfect place for both locals and tourists to enjoy their day at the beach ;-) This photo shows the south end of Bondi and the rock pool that's located right where the water sprays and splashes.

Sydney...
...shines from all angles. Even in the elevator you're reminded of your surroundings with a wonderful engraved map of the city and the Harbour (you can see the Opera House on the far right side).
In my opinion the Four Seasons has the most attractive location in this city. The food and service together with the warm and friendly atmosphere create an experience unlike any other.
