    Aarrrghh!  This is our first year since 1998 we don't plan to be in Australia at all, and we already have withdrawal.... and you re-start this thread!   laugh  We just got back from a month in Costa Rica --  29C seas, great wildlife, good time... but still does not capture what Australia does... for us anyways.   What you capture perfectly, that few people ever "get", is the romance of that long overnight flight to a completely different part of the world - the vast majority just look at 14 hours in the air and shudder; their loss I guess.  

    Seriously though have fun - you and family are clearly hooked for life for this incredible place.... kiss ( We are booking our winter 2017 house  in the next month - will be just north of you up at the Laurieton area).

    The sun is slowly rising, pushing away the night and giving birth to a new day. I just finished writing my darling's Valentine's card that I was working on while flying over here. Two more days to go and then she can open her surprise...❤️

    The soundtrack from the movie "The Age Of Adeline" is playing in the background while the ocean waves are doing what they always do— crashing on the beach ;-)

    I completely forgot, yesterday was my GT3's 5th birthday. Yep, this is how fast time moves, which is why I'm trying to make the most out of each and every day :)

    My lovely family is still sleeping and dreaming while I'm enjoying one fresh cup of coffee after another. I like to get up early and enjoy the quiet moments passing by before they become part of the past.

    Here is to more beautiful moments to come...

    Day 3, Saturday Feb 13, 2016

    It is a wonderful morning here in Seal Rocks which is about a 3h 30 minute drive north of Sydney.

    OAT is 21 degree Celsius and sunny as it is expected to be during summer time ;-) I just finished my second cup of coffee and am getting ready to head to the beach.

    I think I'm having the best beach vacation ever. Yesterday we walked over to Lighthouse Beach where the waves are really strong and I had a great time with my daughter. I had my camera with me in the water to take some shots of her while playing in the waves...she was wearing her new bikini too :)

    Gotta go for now...​

    I wanted to ask you what you fly when you not drive. I am myself a pilot flying a Cirrus SR-22T based in KOWD.

    Thank you for asking. Most of my flying (over 11,000 flight hours now) is in the Airbus AS350 B2 and B3 helicopters based out of Jonn Wayne (KSNA). I love flying and aviation very much and it just supplements the rest of my life in a wonderful way. Smiley

    Last day at the beach...

    The first part of our vacation is drawing to a close... Today was our final day at the beach and from now on we will be celebrating in Sydney to end it all with a bang— my darling's birthday on February 25th! 

    By the way, the pink towel you see in the photo was the gift I picked up for her in downtown Sydney right after our arrival in Australia. I was so glad the store held the towel for me because it was the last one available. Also, since we did the beach part of our vacation first, I obviously couldn't withhold it from her ;-)

    She loves it so much...
