    Absolute bullshit. This statement alone compromises the entire article. 

    If you don't let the front end set it will do that. Way too much torque to expect anything else. This is not to be confused with cornering at high speed and front end grip when applying throttle progressively.  But if you just give it full throttle the minimal turbo lag allows way too much power too quickly. In that regard my old turbo gives an extra split second to point the missle but it is just the nature of the turbo. Going to be an issue for the new Carerra as well with the new torque. It takes a different driving style. 

    It is actually unbelievable how early you can start accelerating on the exit of a corner with the 991 Turbo. It's nothing like the 997. It's completely opposite to the statement of the article. Maybe the author doesn't know that when you start accelerating out of a corner you have apply the throttle smoothly, you don't smash the accelerator. 

    It is possible that the driver didn't give the car enough throttle to overcome understeer to effectively enable the torque vectoring function.

    Picture angle (and probably the iPhone photo lens) distorts the rear view.  In person, with overall perspective, the car will look much better...

    C'mon, the picture angle is so that the exhaust seems to jump into ones face...I am convinced that the real deal looks much better.

    I drove today the 991.2 Carrera S Cabriolet with PSE for 4 hours and back to back the 991.2 Turbo S Cabriolet for 1 hour today.

    The Carrera was a little bit disappointing. While a perfect refined machine it lacked sound wise and also I missed the grunt for a 420 HP car. Yes Shure this thing goes and they made it good in the upper rev range but its too linear/too “perfect”. The car felt light and very nimble to handle with the AWS. Imho a very good daily driver but not for that much money.

    OTOH the new Turbo .. oh my this thing just flies. I think it’s faster than my MP4-12C and it’s a noticeable difference to the 991.1 Turbo S that I drove 2013 at the presentation at Red Bull Ring. At the Autobahn 4th gear till 220 5th gear till 270 .. it just goes. Not as nimble as the Carrera and it felt heavier but overall I felt a little bit in love with the car J. Its imho not for the track but as a daily or also a sports car for the weekend spirited drive – the 991.2 Turbo S will deliver.

    Thanks for your feedback. Interesting, but did the Carrera S sound worse than the 991.2 Turbo S. How would you compare the harmony engine/gearbox on the 991.1 Turbo S/991.2 Turbo S. Could you notice the dynamic boost function? Thanks in advance. Smiley

    There is no way the Carrera S sounded worse than the 991.2 Turbo S... enlightened According to my sources, the sound of the 991.2 Turbo S is basically the same as the one of the 991.1 Turbo S.

    for me the Turbo sounded better. The Carrera Sound was imho too tweaked and it reminded me all the time on a baby rattle. But im used to Turbo sound so .... ;)

    The sport mode in automatic in the  991.2 Turbo S was a little bit too nervous but i ran most off the time in manual mode.

    Dynamic boost holds also in off throttle situations the boost on an 0.2-0.4 bar level. But in real world conditions imho little use because the difference was barly noticable.

    Off the line the Carrera was really quick for an rwd car because it operated with very good traction control near slip level (no launch control).

    Thanks kiss Is PDK on the .2 Turbo S noticable quicker/smoother than on the .1 Turbo S? And one last question: how does the chassis felt to you? Appreciate your comments.

    Exactly. The Turbo S sounds great when driving full throttle on the Autobahn (seriously) but in the lower/mid rev range...boring.

    A Huracan would be a weekend toy, a 991.2 Turbo S a daily driver. 

    Since I got rid of my Turbo S, you can easily understand why I would get the Huracan: I need a weekend toy, not a daily driver (already have one, the 991.1 C4 GTS Cab, the best daily driver ever Smiley).

    I think this is where you are wrong. The 992 Turbo S may actually sound better than the current one. Maybe not as loud, especially in the higher rev range but better. Why? Well...the VTG chargers will be a thing of the past. Smiley

    Not sure about the 991.2 Turbo S sounding better as that video, offered as evidence, doesn't support that the car sounds noticeably better.  Once again, its probably the Swiss and their draconian noise standards, that have forced the hands of  the EU to limit exhaust bypass systems from the automakers.  

    The comment on the VTG is interesting, in light of the announcement that the 718 Boxster S, and presumably the 718 Cayman S, have a single VTG turbocharger.  Porsche must be overstocked on VTG turbochargers and needed to find a use to winnow down the inventory.  One would guess that the 992 Turbo /TurboS will be gaining electronic turbochargers.
