Gnil:throt:Gnil:Whoopsy:It is a wonderful car, my favourite among all the cars in my garage.
Mine is sleeping in the garage until spring . Can't wait to wake it up . These days we have 12 degrees, it' s a bit frustrating not to use it.
I am so greatfull to have this car
Get it out, Gnil. I drive mine more in the frost than I do in the damn summer. The TC doesn't seem to work all the time too. .
I am preserving it mainly from the salt . I would live to feel the TC not working
Just drive the damn car! Life is too short
If you really worry about salt, just do a hose down when you get home.

Also here the winter is good, and i don't stop driving the car,i'm at 5100kms and it runs great.
I would like to have a twin to leave brand new at 0 kms,but owning only one RS makes impossbile to leave it in the garage, every time i look at her, she ask me to take the key and go out for a ride.
You must be soft with the right foot becouse is too cold for the Sport Cups, but is easy to have fun with the tail, than with the hot.
ah...i forgot, all tells that Orange is faster, but we had no doubt, is a well know thing.

Normally in winter we do get snow , or at least freezing temperatures . Using the RS with Cup tires in these conditions would not be appropriate and I did not want to buy an extra winter set for this car . I also do not have time in winter to drive it . And there is the salt . So, all those combined made me store the car away in the middle of December until March . Insurances have been canceled for that time .

I don't think that 97 degrees C is any cause for concern for water temperature while sitting at idle. In fact, pretty normal for many cars. No air flowing over radiator. Fans will prevent it from getting much hotter. It also makes sense that steam comes out of the front vent at a certain temperature. The radiator metal must be getting close to the boiling point of water. :)
It's most fun if you drive your car shortly after a wash. Water comes flying out of the radiator exit vent on the hood and hits your windshield at around 30mph.
winter tires not the only answer.
my RS has lower suspension than stock. It cannot even get out of the garage if ground is snow covered.
besides, other cars can hit you no matter how good a driver you are.
for me, SUV is always preferred when there is snow.

i didn't mean that i shall drive the RS when there is snow but certainly in cold weather. when here is snow i take taxis, airplanes and rental cars, much better than SUV's:::)))

Stop making excuses, Gnil. If the Mrs has banned you from going out then just say, buddy ..
You need to behave yourself..

oooooh I am so happy
Took my lovely GT3 RS out for a ride in the black forest. This car is so good - I didn´t drive her for a month and I have forgotten what a beast she is. No other car I have ever driven drives so sharp and has this sound. My friends it is like freeriding in fresh snow or like sex.
I have it, you wake up and you see the sun and over the night 100 cm freshies, you take your fat skis out and makes some runs in deep powder. Comming home still sun and the streets are dry you take your GT3 RS for a ride in mountain twisties. At evening a nice entrocote with a good Rioja and after that good sex. Life is so good.

Near freezing is not good for the Cup2s, but say if temperature is about 5 degree or so, it's mostly fine. I have driving the 918 and RS around that temperature and just needed a sensible right foot. But with less grip than normal the RS is more playful and fun. Hell I even drive it through rain storms the other day. Granted I had Dunlops on which are slightly better than the Cup2 in the wet.
Gnil:fritz:SciFrog:And then you wonder why people want a GT3 with rear seats...
I've never felt inclined to fit bindings to the rear of my skis.
Nor to have sex on the back seats of any 911
Plenty of room. As long as your not 2 big'ns...

M3ike : stunning looking car. Nearly as good as my LO
your specs are exactly what I would of taken if not done mine.
Could you please post a pic of the air wents with the whole dashboard and on other one with the central air wents only , in outside light ? I hesitated so much on mine between your option and the one I finally got ( painted vents with frame in leather )

Purple with black accents is sick! Imho the best combo with the available colours. Congratulations!
OT: am I the only one who think that there are way too many sticky threads? I mean, it's normal have a few fixed on top with hot topics or informative issues, but having eleven and the need to go to the second page to see fresh content is weird to say the least.
