ISUK:Porsche-Jeck:@ ISUK: when is your Lichtgrün beauty due ?
My GT4 was due to complete production last Tuesday and was due to arrive with my dealer early next month. I haven't checked with him to see if it is still on schedule but hopefully it is.
Great news - maybe I can catch a glimpse when I am in Zuffenhausen next Friday

Well, if you understand JV as abbreviation for Joint Venture, JV 911 is actually not that wrong (engine from Carrera S, steering from Turbo...)

I just checked with my dealer and the car is now showing completion on 20th which is Wednesday but he says the system suggests it is being built at Osnabrück.
Itsme:I think all the Boxsters are build in Osnabrück
I some some Spyders on the line in Zuffenhausen. I think all Caymans are built in Osnabruck, but Boxsters built in both locations.

Enjoy it - looks like it is lots of fun!

I know... but it was already on a lot of 911-sisters, and since my yougest son has the same initials it'll stay in the family for ever...

Yes, close to 160k EUR - ouch. But the price is largeley inflated by Dutch taxes and CO2 "duties". Net price for export into EU countries would be around 97 kEUR and then you have to add local taxes (in Germany 21% VAT but no CO2 taxes, luxury taxes or similar).

Oh man, I was very nervous after seeing the maritime pics - almost on my way to the Netherlands...
But this in the sales ad: Adaptieve Sportstoelen met Comfort Memory Pakket (18-voudig verstelbaar)•
will let me sleep good and wait for my car with LWBS...

Does anyone now a better winddeflector for boxster/spyder. The small deflector between the rollbars seems inapropriate. Is there an aftermarket solution?

Here you go:
http://www.ur-windschott.de/boxter%20low.htm
I had it fitted in my 981S (see attached pics) mainly due to bad visibility with the OEM mesh deflector. Not sure whether it actually does a better job in terms of wind reduction. Quality and fit is excellent and it also fits the Spyder (did a test myself) Mind you they offer two versions (standard and high) - I have the standard (lower) version. I guess the higher version also would fit the Spyder though I am not sure whether it suits from a design point of view.

In Germany, VAT was 19%. Is it 21% now?

Of course you're right Sorry for the typo: Germany is 19%, Netherlands is 21%
@ beltar: o.k. - I understand. I am not aware of a solution for the wholes in the rollbars (981 parts will not fit, as the design of the Spyder rollbars is different from other 981 variants).

Seriously? Did I miss something lately?
97k plus 19% VAT would be around 115k EUR. Acceptable but still a lot more than MSRP.
Beautiful car though... Perfect combo for a Spyder.

Mike S:I got word that mine is going into build on the 8th of February. Another 8 weeks after that for delivery!!! Can't wait. Saw a few in person and it left a great impression. I love the looks, performance and sound!
Congrats Mike S ! May I ask how did you spec yours? Seems we have quite few Spyder ,current and future , owners on Rennteam apparently.

Thanks mate! It's metallic black with the black/red interior. Got the titanium finish on the wheels. 918 seats. Blacked out tail lights.
