Adam2S - not to take this off topic (this would never happen on RT) - I am curious about your AM V12 Vantage - I have been wondering if these will be one of this generation's "never to be repeated" cars. As it is well beyond new by now, how do you feel about it in your collection?

Adam2S:
Once again a HUGE thank you to Reginos without whose input and help I would not have managed to get a car.
Adam I am very glad
Believe me I was very anxious for you to get the car and I bit worried about the delays in case the people in the Porsche Centre Cyprus were responsible for that (not that I had a reason to think so).
The car looks very stunning, as expected.
Enjoy the drive

Many thanks all of you for the kind words.
Dave - yes the interior is 918 Buckets with Yellow stitching, Yellow belts, extended leather dash and steering column, plus full CF trim. I was rather giddy on ticking boxes on the spec sheet!
Reginos - you have a PM. For all to know however the dealer was brilliant, and the delays were just down to the fact I was insistant on getting the 918 buckets, which have been in short supply and many cars have been delayed because of it.

Well I never intended to keep the V12V for as long as I have, its been 3.5yrs now since I bought it new and its just so good that until the GT4 came along I was at a loss as to what else might tick all my requirements quite so well.
The plan is to sell the V12V once the GT4 is road legal and I've got a few months under the belt. I've got a private buyer already lined up who has been waiting for 11 months too since I ordered the GT4. We havn't agreed a final price yet (and here in the UK they have increased in value a little in the last 12mths), so it might all fall through, but if I do sell it then I will be VERY sad to see it go. The car is most definitely an end of an era icon, 6.0ltr na V12 with a manual gearbox, plus I have the lightweight buckets in that too. There just wont be any more cars like that made.
I certainly never meant to start a collection of cars as such, but the temptation to keep it along with the GT4 is very strong indeed!

Lovely car with a great spec
The P11 seats were a source of real frustration for many buyers as their availability seemed to flip flop around continuously. I went with the P3 folding buckets as the PTS option had already delayed my build by a projected 12 weeks and they were threatening to add more time onto this for the P11 option which seemed somewhat ridiculous.

So sorry that the weather didn't work out for you but hey, at least you got your car.

Lars997:Again and again - the most fascinating Porsche sold right now. It looks amazing! Pity they dont offer PDK for it!
PDK and the GTS engine and this car would be everything anyone needs. How about a Cayman R, Porsche? Limited edition like the 911 R?!

Probably we will see that in the future!
I think the same. PDK and the I think you are talking about the 911 GTS engine

With the Sport button that matches revs for you if you want, I can't imagine anyone missing PDK on this car. So nice that there's at least one pure Porsche GT sports car that doesn't cost over $200k (911R)...
I do agree on the motor - this car could certainly benefit from more power (h

PDK would enhance Autobahn performance and improve daily drivability. You don't want to be stuck in a city or even Autobahn traffic jam with a manual, this is pretty annoying. Last traffic jam on the Autobahn A8 was two hours with a stop and go traffic and speeds of around 10-15 kph. Trust me, after these two hours, you would have hated manual.

I must've been lucky in Germany - never had any problem with Manual with 6k km (visiting other countries as well, but mostly Autobahn).
Yes there was occasionally traffic, but not the kind that made me want pdk.
I did grow up in Los Angeles though
