Yes, for sure. But why not continue produce a line wooden boats. Here on the Zürich lake you see a lot of Boesch and some Pedrazinni boats produced in Switzerland. For sure not cheap, but you do get something special.
2012 Cayenne S White/Espresso

Maybe the niche market got too small to sustain Riva's ambitions?

The Wally look good but seriously, no protection from the sun?
Not a Wally, but an Evo

A gloss black hull on a sunny day is a heat nightmare, the gel coat is also real bitch to keep looking good and also deteriorates faster than any other hull color. Looks good in a advert though. Look even better to any boatyards bottom line.
Lots of these ultra modern style boats are really just nautical jokes.Take a closer look at their systems layout and maintainability and you will discover servicing nightmares. And their extreme stern width in any kind of even mildly rough following or quarterly seas makes them handle like a pair of lead boots. If you want to see one turn into a sea going swimming pool just try one in a following sea. Most prospective buyers of them don't even know what that means, so that tells you who they are marketed at. On the water they are as useless as a ski boat on a mountain climbing expedition. Its like mega size wings and coffee can exhaust pipes for Fiesta owners but first time luxury boat buyers have more money.
The exaggeratedly wide sterns you see on some luxury pleasure boats are the result of boat maker user surveys that revealed that these boats seldom ever leave their slips and that their customers really wanted more deck room for dockside booze and bikinis than actually having decent handling.
