Stay away from the new Mini JCW.
My girlfriend just bought an older JCW (2006). Pretty fun little car. Has some aftermarket upgrades too...
The previous model is really fun, the new one is more of a perfect daily driver than sports car.
Drove on the Autobahn yesterday, reached speeds up to 220 kph. The car has a very strong pull up to 220 kph but afterwards, it kind of sucks. Anyway: Even at 220 kph, I was able to talk to my wife and daughter with a normal voice, the noise level in the car is very low at that speed, amazing. Car feels very unspectacular at that speed, I just wish it had wider tires (the steering is a bit sensitive) but otherwise, very good daily driver.
Fuel consumption so far is around 10.5 l / 100 km, I drive mostly around the city but always in "sport" mode. Not bad. With "green mode" active (throttle response sucks big time), I can get around 8 l / 100 km with the car. Overall, pretty impressive for a 231 hp car with automatic transmission. Even the interior room on the back seats is quite good (for a small/medium sized adult) but the luggage room (trunk) is basically only good for two or three beer crates.
