The discussion is becoming very odd ....
Who on earth can say that a GT3 is becoming too soft and for posers ? The difference in performance with RS will be small, and within the hands of average drivers like me, even negligible.
This is always interesting to have people bashing GT3 and advertising how GT4 is fantastic.
I owned two 991 GT3's, I drove extensively one GT4 and also one GT3 RS : we speak about two worlds....
Performance wise and shifting performance, not even to discuss.
GT4 is a great car, and so far where I leave , much more a poser car thann gt3 lol....
Let's revigorate th debate abou gt4 then, especially the white ones which are faster than any others :-).
I would be delighted to have 4 seats in my future 991.2 GT3. Because just for brining my kid with me time to time can be convenient. Today this would be highly feasible and will please a lot of people who don t want a GT3 because of 2 seaters only.

You need to take my posts with a healthy dose of provocation and sarcasm. Even RC has learned this after 10+ years. I did not write nor mean that the GT3 will become "soft", rather that the perception of a 4-seater wingless GT3 cabrio will skew more towards soft than hardcore. I am certain that a few track fanatics will move on to an RS or another brand too. Not that Porsche needs to worry about this, far more people would buy a GT3 touring version.
As for the GT4 references, I am pleased that you compare it to it's big brother the GT3 (RS). One is carrying 15 years of motorsport heritage, must be best-in-class and is generally considered to be the ultimate track weapon across all car brands, the other a motorsport enhanced model with some GT3 bits, a normal 911 engine and a price tag which is half the size. If I may borrow your word 'odd', that would have been the perfect description if Porsche had built a GT4 which was better than the GT3, but for far less money.
