Lars997:Very interesting video.
I wondering how they made it - the car drives fast and the camera goes all around. Maybe the whole thing is computer graphics?
Hmmm, spoiler was down all the time, so it wasn't driving fast. Drone and camera crane points of view, then speed up the movie wafterwards?

Yeah - that might be an option. But the more I look at it the more I think they rendered the most part of the video.
Second car (not a Porsche ) with a special camera technology... Looks great, doesn't it? Very dynamic.

A couple of firms in Hollywood have developed a Porsche Cayenne camera platform vehicle and this was probably used to help make the video as well as drones/helicopters for some of the overhead shots. The speeds probably were much lower than what the speeds appear on the video. Hollywood creates magic from virtually nothing.

The still from the video at the end reminds me of recent AT&T commercials: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGVJNh2xy34
Itsme:And the funny thing is that nearly all manufactures use the same small street for their photo shoots. I don’t know how many times I did this 5miles with my bike
Seems to be a place for fantastic rides. Could you please enlighten me where it is? Canaries maybe?

Probably Lanzarote, first part at the coast of the street to El Golfo

Lukas:Maybe this has been discussed earlier, but is there now an option on the 991.2 Targa to have the silver parts painted in black (or in other colors?). I really think it looks great with it painted on darker exterior colors!
I have stated since day one that it should have been standard black to begin with since standard exterior brightwork has been eliminated from all 911s since the mid 1970s anf the aluminum look hoop should have been optional , like the option of chrome trim framing the side windows on coupes
I suspect the majority going foward will come with this black targa hoop even if it is an " option " and this intro " delay " was on purposely calculated to build pent up demand in order to probably charge more as an option ...typical Porsche wallet biopsy behavior , lol !
an added bonus to them is that more Targa buyers will now be able to check the $$$ black painted wheels option box because of it also, imo
Does anyone here have a new targa? What would be the point?
My first 911 [now hmmm 53 or so Porsches ago, lost count] an SC was a targa, and I would never buy another, especially when you have the magnesium plate roof on the Cab that can be put down at 36 mph and you have to stop the car to lower the targa [this is almost as stupid as centre lock wheels on a road car[], and it's heavy. The roof line of the cab is now improved to be more coupe like and much more streamlined and attractive and the targa looks ponderous. Just another line extension to no where.
And subjectively - pretty busy and unattractive. No sale here.

I will be test-driving the new Carrera S next week, so this is going to be interesting.

can't wait to hear a complete, detailed report!
trying to figure out how to configure-spec one out.
Haven't seen one in California yet.
curious which color you would get? would love to see real-life pictures of the agate grey color

I have only one request.
Could you find out if it can execute a j turn without the fuel being cutoff or the engine power being reduced by the suitability sensors. Since you are a experienced rally car guy I know you will be able to find out. Thanks.
