They told us 275 cars they will build. Also - think about the option of a later following Spyder in a even more limited way.
I know also of about 3 Owners in Germany and 5 more international. But I know of even many more which been turned down. Some are pissed, some others are quiet relaxed.
I heard that roughly 1400 buyers commited to the car but only 275 will get one, difficult to find the right owners. Apparantly they hired an external counsultancy firm to find a fair and objective selection process (not sure whether this is true).

The external consulting company been leading through the entire process. The process was not very professional from my point of view. I wished they would have given more information's in between. Also - the various people got their denies on a very different date. Some heard back days after Geneva, some others in June, July, etc. Myself, I just heard back couple of days ago. Means - I really had hope as we been in the cycle until the end. Last not least - if you give a no, I thought it would have been more appropriate making a nice letter instead of an email from an external consultancy.

Yes you are right, 275 cars. I stand corrected. 250 was the initial estimate but they ended up with 275. Amazing target performance though.
2.3 to 100km/hr
5.9 to 200km/hr
11.2 to 300km/hr.

Ehhhhh not so pretty. Cool, but doesn't really have the presence of the CLK GTR or a Porsche GT1. No doubt it will decimate everything else (except maybe the AM), and you're getting insane technology for the road, but still not really a looker.
Looks to have an active spoiler on the rear that isn't up.

Not pretty indeed, was expecting more of the styling. This is pretty bland?

Best quote I've seen about its looks; "It’s long, low, and aggressive, looking sort of like a McLaren F1 was fed steroids and cocaine and given a generous jewelry allowance."

You have to give the Mercedes designers a standing ovation for having used Dieter's mustache as inspiration for the front facia. Ingenious

Sorry gents, but for me this is one of the ugliest designs in recent car history. Period.
It may be technically brilliant (though I still can't see the attraction of a 1.6-V6-Turbo), but IMO everybody who wanted one in the beginning and didn't get one in the end should consider himself lucky.
We're at the point where you can be the fastest or just sound like you're the fastest.
