    When I saw new McLaren`s pointy nose, its pretty obvious that they can make any shape if they have clever enough designers. Also, if we assume that Mercedes have plans to build a car that is very similar to one I posted I dont see any part that could make problems for pedestrian safety regulations.

     

    Mid engine and rear engine car can have a slope and pointy nose cause there are no engines under the bonnet, thus they don't need to provide extra room for pedestrian impact.

    Keep in mind that picture is distorted and from a weird angle. The front does not look how you probably think it does based on that image.

    I know, this is why I already wrote earlier that I am going to keep my final verdict for the moment we have official photos and/or when/if I see this car live.

    Actually when I was interested at the 4C, this is what Alfa told me. I was surprised myself. It includes pedestrian protection (that's why that Alfa is so low in the front) but also little things like washable headlights, etc.

    Pretty sure the 1.6L figure is because this is the displacement of an F1 motor (which is nearly the same as used in the AMG).  I guess an F1 car with 1.6L costs even more...

    I did see the car yesterday. It looks amazing. Much better than anticipated. Also the technology was much more than I expected (please forgive, due to an NDA I can't tell any infos). Nevertheless - the entire project is well planned and super exciting. Let's see if our application will be heard - stay tuned.

    @J.Seven - the design is more "racy" compared to the LaFerrari or 918. The front seems to be boring for many people - myself, I really loved it. Nevertheless, it has not that dolce Vita of an La Ferrari. It is a Mercedes and you can see that pretty well (don't think about A or S-Class, please smiley)

    It is a F1 engine. Same which was used last year. They changed a few things (adding electric starter, etc.) and explained everything in detail to me. And regarding 50tkm run time - they are very proud to achieve this ;)

    We signed by now or LOI of buying one and are still in the loop of being selected. Let's keep fingers crossed Smiley
