first post here. I have a white GT3RS on order, and I'm debating on the interior. I currently have LO full leather but without the microfiber insert, I really like the microfiber insert in LO, but I worry about the durability and the long term maintenance of the microfiber. Either way works for me, but I'm just wondering for those who have experience of the material, what do you think?

Alcantara is a patented brand-name type of microfiber made in Italy, that is used for automotive aplications (among other things) because its fire retardant, washable, lighter than leather and less hot under the sun, more grippy, and has a premium look similar to suede leather but more durable and resistant to wear.
There are different qualities, though supposedly Porsche's is high quality and more durable than others though wear quicker than natural leather I believe (I have heard mixed opinions).
Areas such as the steering wheel and shift knob in manuals are the parts that wear quicker due to the contact with hands, but then again they are areas that are not to hard too replace if need be, so IMO well worth getting if you like it more than natural leather, and personally it looks much much much better than full leather interior, IMO getting full leather on a sportcar when an alcantara version is available is a shame, kind of like putting a cover on a leather sofa so it lasts longer 
... unless you actually like better the look of natural leather, thats different then.
Not that it can be considered long time but I have 8,000km on my GTS and all the alcantara bits are 100% as new, including the wheel.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm now thinking about changing the exterior color to LO as well as doing LO interior with microfiber inserts. The only option I passed so far is sport chrono and PCCB. Sales really try to get me to add sports chrono, but I just feels like it's a huge ripoff to pay over 2k on a clock. I'm impartial on the look of clock on the dash, hope I won't miss it afterwards.
The sport chrono si not nécessary and personaly i'm not a big fan of this clock on the dashboard. It's interesting for the PORSCHE app but you find a best laptimer in the market...and it havé not a sport function button... Very expensive for a plastic clock and a PORSCHE app not so good.

Same here, I have a Cab and I drove the car outside and with an open top in the summer heat in Germany (yes, we really had 30-40°C for weeks over here, which happens quite rare) and the Alcantara interior looks like new. Also easy to keep clean.
Every time I enter my wife's Macan Turbo with full leather, I miss the Alcantara but I have to admit that I've always been a sucker for this material.
