Re: Next two brands to offer Manual Gearbox?
SciFrog:MKW:...whip by a traffic cop at 9/10 ths on a public road piloting the slowest and crappiest handling new vehicle of any sort available on the market whether it has a manual or automated gearbox and see what happens ....if the track is your playground and a stopwatch is your holy grail ....sure get the PDK
If you need to drive at 9/10 to get pleasure from a car and that's your purpose on the road then you bought the wrong car. And that's the whole point of the other thread about the 991.2. My California, 612, Mini or Vantage at 3/10 give me great pleasure and that's why they are still in the garage.
Please reread carefully what I wrote ...you are responding to me in a way tha indicates you have oppositely interpreted what I had previously written in response in my strong advocacy in support of having Porsche offer a choice to own and casually drive a manual on a public road , even on their latst GTx models , even if scores of today's " performance " cars and sport utes can run any pre- mid 80s or earlier sports cars into a canyon road ditch . Personally, I have no interest in any manuals ever again .
If I had a GT3RS , it would be PDK, never see a track and used at speed limits on local roads only , letting traffic pass me ...that would give me great pleasure, even as I drive my other cars even family cars at twice the pace
