    Wow, five reviews so identically described they could have been done as cut-and-paste.  But all insist the 488 has essentially no turbo lag... do those familiar with the 991 Turbo S feel it would be described the same way?

    1. Most car journalists are invited on manufacturer's cost to events, so manufacturers have certain expectations about reviews, comments and so on. Smiley

    2. Car journalists who are too honest, won't be invited again. They also won't get any cars to review again.

    3. Car journalists like Paul Frere were honest and their feedback was respected and taken in consideration by car developers and engineers. Nowadays, most engineers and developers at car manufacturers know best, they do not need "outsiders" to tell them what is good or not, they do not really appreciate input. Learned it the hard way. Smiley

    If you want reviews and tests a la Paul Frere, you need an independent media outlet which has enough money and also "weight" with car manufacturers to be accepted and respected. Never going to happen though because at some point, criticism will be taken as an insult, especially by developers.

    Car manufacturers do not want honest inputs, they want people to love their products.

    +1, some angles make this car look so fantastic. I still have a few grippes with it but it's growing on me, a lot. That carbon front splinter is a must if you're doing anything other than black or a dark grigio.

    cool video the place should be san leo close to rimini, incredible location.

     

    the car is so beautiful, saw another one in padova at the most beautiful car show i have ever seen,  http://www.autoemotodepoca.com/

    tons of old incredible cars as F40 daytona 275gtb and many others, 300 sl 190 sl miura countach atc...so many all togheter is quite exciting, and a lot of modern supercars directly presented by maserati porsche mclaren etc... super super

    Red. The 488 gtb has to be seen in the flesh  amazing amazing.

    i also saw yesterday a lovely daytona spider, but the 275 is such a beautiful car that it is almost breathtaking
